First make sure you have money in your Ooma prepaid account or subscribe to an Ooma World or Ooma World Plus calling plan. The international telephone code for the United States is “011”. To make an international call from the U.S. using Ooma, you would dial “011”. Then dial the destination country code followed by the phone number you wish to call. However, if you’re calling Canada, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or other countries included in the North American Numbering Plan, you can dial the number as you normally would without dialing “011” first. 

You can call anywhere in the world with Ooma. Prices vary based on the country, type of phone you’re calling (landline or mobile) and whether you are paying per call or have a monthly subscription to an Ooma World or Ooma World Plus plan.

Yes, for U.S. customers, international calling plan subscriptions and charges are subject to the Federal Universal Service Fund (FUSF) fee, which typically ranges from 15 to 18 percent. There’s also a 3.9¢ connection fee per account for international calls made using the pay-as-you-go account–this fee is waived if you subscribe to an international calling plan.
