I recently lost my job and need to get my number ported to save money on my phone bill so I can use it for mortage, electricity and food. I have called Ooma support and was told it was pending in the cue, that was weeks ago. I need to keep my old phone number as my resumes have it listed and I need to go back to work. Right now I feel foolish spending the money on the Ooma unit, maybe I should have saved it for a mortage payment. Can someone at Ooma please help a man in need?

I'm trying to avoid my next month's phone bill and fees ($110) as well.
I called today and mentioned my situation and rep told me they can port my number on March 24th to avoid the extra phone bill.
(He said to call back next week to follow up on my porting process)
Call ooma again and explain your situation regarding pending phone bills if the port is not completed on time.
They might be able to help you, my rep was very helpful.
