It is just cosmetic and in the greater scheme of things a mere annoyance... but it is growing worse weekly. Soon, the red and green "hangup/pickup" buttons will be totally 1 color and the remaining surface coating for the 1,2 and 4 keys will be gone...the Telo Handset is looking pretty beat for only being in service about 6 months or so...

Is anyone else having this issue?

I haven't heard this happening to other users.

I'd recommend that you contact customer support for a RMA and our manufacturing team can analyze the handset you return.

Ok, so I sent my concern via email, and got a few questions in response that I answered, then just an email notice about a UPS package and after a week or so a new telo handset w/o battery or adapter arrived in a box, with return shipping label.

My, this telo handset looks much better than what I just returned!

Probably that's just their way to recall equipment with lead- and cadmium-based paints.
