International calling problem

Post by random1 » Sat Jul 03, 2010 7:13 am

When I try to call internationally, I get the "you have $XX dollars and ZZZ minutes remaining", followed by a fraction of a ring, and then "unable to complete your call at this time, please try again".
This happens probably 95% of the time. If I keep trying, sooner or later it will work. This sounds similar to problems a couple of people have had here. Any resolution or suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

It turns out the problem was caused by low upload bandwidth, my very old cable modem was uploading at only 150-200Kbps, I replaced it, now uploading at 2Mbps, and haven't had the issue for a couple of days. Ooma tech diagnosed this (on my second call, first one wasn't helpful at all). In any case, speedtest.net is a pretty cool site for a quick check of your internet bandwidth.

Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem.
