How does Ooma differentiate core from hub?

Post by ebisoba » Thu Dec 17, 2009 2:26 pm

I just purchased a core package due to the no regulatory fee policy. My question is how does Ooma differentiate the core package from the regular hub package, which will incur the regulatory fee next year. I looked under the System tab under Account and it shows I have a Ooma hub. Is there anything else I need to do after activation to make sure that I don't get hit by the regulatory fee? Thanks.

I believe that it's determined by the MAC address that you register the device with.

Take a look at your box. It will say whether there is a $11.75 per year regulatory recovery fee that applies after the first year.
