I was dealing with the same issue. This looks like a bug to me...where the DSL modem is in bridged mode and if the Ooma is configured as PPPoE, then Ooma displays 0.0.0.0 instead of the IP address. Is this because the DSL modem is the device that's really getting the IP address from the ISP? When my modem is in bridge mode, it doesn't display an IP address assigned from the ISP.
Stacy, even though Ooma was displaying 0.0.0.0, I suspect that your modem was still getting your static IP address.
Is setting the modem to IP Passthrough instead of Bridged the only work around?
