This sometimes happens after Internet Security scans, Norton Utilities scans, or with other Virus scans, or just with years of computer service.
The following procedure may help.
Flush the computer DNS and reset the Winsock.
Computer Dos Commands:
1. Click on Computer Start button > Then Click on Run. The Run window opens, type cmd in blank and click on OK.
2. In the DOS window that opens, at the command prompt, type the following and press Enter after each line:
a. ipconfig /flushdns [and hit Enter]
3. At the command prompt, type the following and press Enter after each line:
a. netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt [and hit Enter]
b. netsh winsock reset [and hit Enter]
c. exit [and hit Enter]
4. If entries were correct, the DOS window will say, “Restart the computer”.
a. Restart your computer.
b. Test using your computer browser to access various sites.
