"Disappearing Phone Bill"

Post by ThugMusk » Tue Apr 14, 2009 11:53 am

The disappearing phone bill claim unfortunately doesn't appear to be happening with my Comcast account.

The price of 3 bundled services, Internet, Phone and Cable are CHEAPER then the price of Internet and Cable. Dropping Digital Phone from my Comcast account is causing my cable bill to go up!

It's a freakin' scam I tell ya!

That's odd. My Comcast bill dropped by $35/month since I terminated their Digital Voice product.

You must've had a special offer for 'triple play'; probably lasts 6-12 months.

I don't like Comcast; in my area, it's expensive ($55-60 for broadband only) and their broadband service is unreliable.

Comcast is great if your on a business tier for internet. Around here you can get 12/2 business tier for $60 and add basic cable for 4.95

Other than that though, I would go with it at all.

DSL is $35-$45 and Satellite is 30

I'm in Northern Illinois, my Comcast cable bill dropped about $40 by switching.

Essentially, the price of cable + internet went up $10 when I dropped the Comcast phone.

Today, the ooma core is down. I can say that in three years the Comcast phone was out only once after a violent windstorm (the tornado sirens went off and we huddled in the basement).

ooma is down twice in a week now....
