What is the bandwidth throughput of the Telo?

Post by dunnman99 » Mon Aug 22, 2011 2:39 pm

Hello,

I am migrating from 8x8.

Their base / VOIP adapter has a bandwidth throughput of about 10Mbps. So I could not put it in front of my gigabit routers.

I currently have a 100Mbps down / 5 Mbps up connection.

So what is the bandwidth throughput ability of the Telo? If it has less than 100Mbps, it would be the limiting factor of my network. I have already given it dedicated priority on my megabase router. But if the network capability of the Telo is gigabit, then, why not run through it?

Thanks for any ideas or info.

Telo is not gigabit. You probably want to have your Ooma behind the router with QoS disabled (set to 0).

Just FYI.

I ran some tests on the Ooma Telo box....it will pass 101 Mbps dowloading and it will pass 5 Mbps uploading if you pass through it.

Yeah, I believe it should be 100Mbps both up and down.
