You talking about regular phone connected to your Ooma or Scout?
Next time try calling your own number using the phone, check old VM and see if it clears.

I have seen issues reported where phones connected to the Scout experience issues with VM indicator sticking. I experienced it as well. Calling in to VM cleared it.
