Port Forwarding Question

Post by rshin78 » Sun Jan 23, 2011 12:35 pm

Im new at this, i've taken over my brothers network config and installed a ooma telo, it currently is between my modem and router. I use utorrent but it says the port needed is not open. How do i open the port? i went under advanced network settings to forward a port but what ip address do i enter?

Forward to the IP of the device on which you're running utorrent.

Something else to try:

Many people place their Ooma Telo behind (on the LAN side of) the router, connecting nothing to the Ooma Telo’s home port. Then your programs will function as before you purchased the Ooma Telo. Most people do not have any problems at all with the Ooma Telo installed behind the router. But a small number of people do have QoS (Quality of Service) problems. If you do have problems, just post your problem(s) here and someone will help you.
