ring styles for forwarded calls to ooma

Post by Nathan 1 » Thu Jan 13, 2011 2:37 pm

I have another voip service forwarding all of my calls from my that service to ooma now. Can I program all those calls from that forwarded number to have a different ring pattern than if someone dials my ooma number?

Yes and no.
Yes - If you have Premier you can add a second number and forward your VoIP calls to that number. Then you can set the ring patten for that number to be a different pattern than your main number.

No - If you don't have Premier or don't have a number you can use for the different ring tone.

Almost forgot - welcome to ooma and to the forum!

cool....thanks for the info here. I will be a premier subscriber at the end of the trial period for sure. Its well worth it even if there are bugs that take time to fix.
