I get the following message whenever I try to move my phone number from the shared device to the scout.

I called support and they said they can "fix" this for me. Because I want to understand why I must use them to "fix" this for me, I finally got an answer, but I don't know if it is true.

The tech said that I have a primary number and a secondary number and there is no way for me to know what my primary number is (other than it is either one or the other). I will eventually discover which of my two numbers are the primary one as only the primary number will allow me to log onto https://www.ooma.com. Also, Ooma support will only know me by my primary number.

So my first point. Why isn't it listed in "My Ooma" what my primary number is? And that only Ooma support can set which one is the primary and which one is the secondary?

Second, the tech told me that I may move my secondary number from the scout to the hub (shared device), but I may not move my primary number away from the hub. If this is true, why do I get the obscure message above? Why can't the message say something meaningful such as "you may not move your primary number away from the shared hub device".
