Question regarding porting phone numbers (Canada)

Hi All,

I am hoping that someone here will be able to assist me with my question as I haven't been getting a clear answer from Ooma Support.

I live in Canada and the city I live in is not listed as an option to port my current phone number from. I am forced to select a phone number from another city which would be a long distance call for any of my family or friends to dial to. Does anyone know how often Ooma updates their city lists? I really want to use this service, but if my old number is unable to be ported over...ooma will not work for me.

Go to this page and get to the page where you can check whether your number is portable into Ooma or not. Looks like it also works for Canadian numbers: https://www.ooma.com/products/port You can also double check whatever the result you get via email to Ooma porting department: loa@ooma.com
