If the Ooma Telo is connected behind an integrated modem/router, one should not be required to physically connect to the Telo in order to access the management interface (http://setup.ooma.com).

The management web page should be (optionally) available on the local non-routable IP address of the 'TO INTERNET' port (e.g. 192.168.1.x), preferably via SSL, and secured by a password.

This would also allow a user to configure port forwarding on the home router, to permit remote management.

Forward port 80 to 172.27.35.1 in the Telo setup.
Connect to the IP address that your router assigns to the Telo.
Works for me.
