Community (Personal) Blacklist

Post by hteinlin » Wed Nov 18, 2009 9:14 pm

How about say have a personal community blacklist that all Ooma owners can join to.

Once there it pools the blacklist from all members of that community and blacklist it for all members in that community. This would be on top of Ooma's community blacklist, they wouldn't have to maintain it, it would be all done by the Ooma owners.

I know that would be a cool feature, my whole family could hook up on Ooma and we get the advantage of blacklisting all the annoyances and sharing that list by just joining that group.

I have a feeling that the existing community list is made up of

1. a known national list of abusers
2. our personnel lists

which are then bashed (for lack of a better term) and eventually, with enough "hits" are added to the "community" list.

I'm sure the process is more refined than I described. Maybe someone from ooma can share some non-propitiatory information.

The existing process works for me today.

Cheers
