I am surprised !! !

maybe they are trying to recover the costs for when they were advertising the $50 in free international calling

I e-mailed Costco as to why the higher price.

Here is their reply:

"Thank you for your e-mail to Costco Wholesale. This item comes with bundled features not included in all ooma systems."

Did not say what they were, only that the feature is included.

Good point niknak. Costco is good at 'extra's" and it is a huge marketplace. Recently, I went to Verizon to get a new cellphone with my DIL. Later, we went into Costco and found out had we done it there, we would have gotten all kinds of extra's for the same phone. Live and learn !!

I will be watching to see what they do with the handset too.

Costco now down to $239.99 for the Telo Hub and $54.99 for the Telo Handset.

Shipping is included - This is less than Amazon or Best Buy - for the Telo Hub anyway.

Tax is charged if there is an actual store in your state - So if I order from MicroCenter and there is a MicroCenter in my state, I pay sales tax. If I order from Amazon and there is no Amazon store in my state (Never heard of an actual Amazon store) - no tax. Although in my state (Ohio) as with many other, the state EXPECTS you to file and pay the tax at taxtime.

Amazon has a distribution center in my state (Kentucky), so we pay sales tax on our purchases from Amazon. :(

Weird, sometimes at Costco, they are only offering telo and handset, but right now, at 4:02 PST if you search ooma on costco's website, only the ooma Hub comes up, with the old ToS, $50 international credit, and 6 months free premier service. Keep checking, you may get lucky!
