Need to return telo handset?

Hey guys,

I'm new to ooma. After i receive a call on my telo handset, the incoming call message, callers name, and phone number with the softkeys Answer and VM stay on my display until i pick it up and hit a button. I don't guess its a big problem, but i would like to know if it is suppose to work that way, or do i have a defective handset. Also the screen stays lit up while this is going on. Could someone please let me know if this is normal, or should i return it for a new one.

No, it should not behave that way. Make sure it has the current handset firmware by going to Menu > Handset Setup > HS SW Update.
