Fee to use *67?

Post by ibradly » Fri Jun 18, 2010 12:44 pm

I couldn't find any info on Ooma's website and I tried searching these forums as well. Does anyone know if there is a fee when using *67? My guess is no, but it doesn't hurt to ask. :) Thanks.

dial *67 it will block your number from being viewed on CID, the call can still be traced by the phone company or law enforcement if it is harassing or threatening... and if you are calling a toll free number (800, 866,877, 888) or a 900 number they get your number from ANI just like the 911 operators, so blocking your CID would not do anything for those calls

It works on a per call basis:

For example: If I were to call you & didn't want to show my caller id, I would dial

*671xxxxxxx & you would not know it's from me.
