I set up ooma to work independently of my landline and got a temporary number to begin with.

I have had ooma for about a week.

I am going to keep and use my temp number and also keep the landline.

When I call someone on ooma, it says unknown caller.

Will my name show up automatically at some point, or will I have to call support to get that to happen.

It should eventually show up ... it takes a few days to propagate thru the various caller id systems/databases.

I've had ooma for 7 months now and my name still doesn't show up. Doesn't matter who I call.

It's my ONLY complaint with ooma.

Hmmm ... 7 months and still the caller id is not right. I would say that is a problem. Assume you have called into tech support. What was their response?

I had the same problem after two months with ooma and called support and they said they fixed it. It took about a week for it to start working everywhere I called.

I called CS after about 2 weeks for both of my Ooma accounts (2 numbers per account). The issue was resolved within 24 hours in each case.
