Delay before greeting starts

Post by gilsh » Thu May 12, 2011 1:37 pm

Is there a way to cut down on the time of silence between when someone hears my greeting when they get my voicemail? I've tried the various greetings: personal, system, etc., and there is just enough lag time that some callers don't think there is a greeting.

Make your ring time 20 seconds. 24 seconds (which MyOoma says is 4 rings) is actually a bit longer than 4 rings. Set it at 20 seconds, and right as the phone is done ringing 4 rings, Ooma will kick in for voicemail (with the typical lag before).
