Some calls to cell phones ask for password

Post by dereks » Sat Feb 13, 2010 12:25 pm

When calling certain cell phones from my Ooma line, when the call connects and after the annoying Ooma jingle plays, there is a request for a password. I think it's the Ooma password, but I'm not even sure. It doesn't happen for all calls out to cell phones.

Has anyone experienced this problem? It is really odd, however, it's bad enough that I may have to give up on Ooma for my primary line (premier account).

Go into your my.ooma account and turn off the connection tone. The cell phone system is interpreting it as an asterisk which is the usual way to gain access to your cell voice mail.

Thank you. I didn't realize I could turn that darn thing off. So simple.
