Installation problems

Just purchased my OOMA bundle from Costco. I used the quick install guide to get the OOMA up and running. Everything works fine with the new "virtual" number. I wanted to keep my old number until it ported over. My problem is I am not able to receive old phone number messages. The old phone number doesn't ring with the current hookup. I have talked to customer support several times and they use a cheat sheet to guess as I did on how to hook everything up until the porting process is satisfied. Is there a guru or website that has the real answer to installing this equipment. I have Time warner as my phone,internet and tv service. I have a linksys wireless modem. Please help

If you received a phone number from Ooma when you signed up, then your old phone service operates independently of Ooma until your port is complete. Try forwarding your old phone number to your temporary Ooma number - this would be done in your TWC account.
