internet disconnects constantly

I was wondering if someone would be able to help with internet issues resulting after connection to the ooma telo. Just installed the telo between modem and router. Using a netgear modem and a motorola router. Internet connection worked great until installed the ooma telo. Now internet is disconnecting every 30 to 40 mins or so. Called CS, was on hold for 40 mins and they could not help, especailly as my connection was down.

Connect to http://setup.ooma.com using a computer connected to the Home port or to a router that is connected to the home port.

Select the Network page.
Set the Network Connection to Dynamic (DHCP)
Click the radio button beside Use built in under Modem port MAC address
Click update
Turn the modem, ooma, and the router off.
Turn on the modem and wait until it syncs up with your ISP.
Turn on the Telo and wait until all of the lights are blue.
If it has never connected before, this could take up to an hour.
Enjoy the light show but under no circumstances disconnect it's power before the hour is up.
Turn on the router.
Verify that you can connect to the internet with your computer.
Verify that you have a dial tone on a phone connected to the phone port.

Nothing should be connected to the wall port unless you chose to integrate a land line with the Telo.
If you did choose integration, your land line must be connected to the Wall port.
