Hi there:

Having gotten a defective unit the first time, I have my 2nd Telo. I plugged it into the internet before activating it. After a light up sequence, the Ooma logo started flashing blue.

I have now activated it online and received a phone number, which is 415 347 3788. It is still flashing blue. Should I let it sit for a while now, or should I power it down and then up again?

I believe the previous unit may have become broken through powering it down at the wrong time, so I don't want to make the same mistake again. But, since I plugged it into the internet before it was activated, I don't know if it is actually downloading the software it needs or not.

It's been more than an hour, if it is still just flashing the blue Ooma logo you can probably safely reboot it. Before doing so check your connection between the "To Internet" port on the Telo and a LAN port on your router. Are you sure the cable is good?
