Hi all:

New ooma customer, just activated a few days ago. Here's what I have, ooma hub hooked up in between cable modem and router in my second floor office. Splitter going out from hub, one side to my cordless phone, one side to an Easy Jack. The second Easy Jack in my basement connects to my Dish Network receiver (VIP222k). The Dish Network receiver says that the phone connection is ok, and I have Caller ID on my Dish Network receiver enabled. When I call my ooma line an incoming call message comes up on my tv screen but it just says Name Unavailable. I know that ooma caller ID works as it shows up on my ooma phone, as well as on MyOoma.com. Anyone have this issue where the Dish Network receiver won't display the name of the caller? I'll check with Dish Network too, but wanted to check here as well.

I don't think that checking with Dish will do any good. I have Dish. As long as it is showing unavailable their gear is working okay. I rather suspect the magic jack, I don't know how it works, simply because my ooma shows caller id on my dish gear just fine.

Just a thought.
