I have a basic Verizon phone line, in PA, that is used with my alarm system.
It is not connected to ooma at all. There is no long distance and no regional dialing, local calls only. The alarm system uses an 800 number.
All calls (except 800 calls) cost money.

Dial Tone Line $7.87
Federal Excise tax $0.43
PA Gross Receipts Tax Surcharge $0.35
PA Relay Surcharge $0.08
E911 $1.00
Federal Subscriber Line Charge $5.89
Federal Universal Service Fee $0.76

Total $16.38
