Reverse Splitter - where?

Post by Damager » Tue Aug 18, 2009 7:23 am

First - thanks to all for your helpful answers to my questions so far - your support has been great.

Second - I'm feeding my Ooma hub through the "phone" port into my whole house, which is working fine. I want to use the second pair in my house to feed the Ooma Scout. I know I need something like a "reverse splitter", which will allow me to do this, but I cant figure out what kind of splitter I need and how to wire.

I did a search but couldn't find an answer.

Use one of those L1, L2, L1+L2 splitters. You can then plug this splitter into the wall and plug the PHONE port into L1 and the WALL Port into L2. You will need another one for the scout on the other end (for L2) as most phones (and the scout) will default to using line 1 (inner most copper pair on the plug).
