If you have canceled call-waiting and the second call is hitting the ooma system, then you should see the "line 2" button flash when the second call comes in. Can you check if it does?

Just tried it (while trying to keep as quiet as I can for the sleepers around).

I called my main ooma line from cell phone while I had the ooma line off the hook.

Yes, #2 did light up.

But does this mean that if I didn't pick up the lighted #2, the call will go to voicemail? And do I need to attach the scout as in the earlier post?

Thank you for this Dennis.

Sorry, I wasn't specific enough in describing how the test should be done.

Because of the way ooma autoselects lines and routes calls, there are certain cases where ooma might see the second call (the test case you just ran does just that). But I don't think this emulates the scenarios that you are likely seeing in your daily use of the system.

To do this test, you'll need to find a way to place two inbound calls to your ooma (hopefully you have two cell phones). Place one call to your ooma and then answer the call. While leaving the call up, place the second call to your ooma and see if the line 2 key lights up.

Thanks.
