Old hard-wire Voice Mails

unplugging my old, hardwire line but not disconnecting it until I transfer my old telephone number to Ooma. It has a Voice Mail feature based at that company's office, not at my house. Will my old Voice Mail still work for people calling the old number allowing me to leave a message on it giving them my new Ooma tel number?

As soon as you terminate your service (number porting completion would terminate your current service), the VM on that service would stop working (during this time, maybe you can change your greeting to tell folks your temp number).
