How to connect ooma to Panasonic KX-TA624

Post by ebernhard » Thu Feb 07, 2013 9:19 pm

I recently purchased a Panasonic KX-TA624 tel system, and want to use for 3 tel #s (my two office numbers plus 3rd home #). I have 2 older ooma kits purchased years ago but never hooked up. These kits have a hub and a scout, so I have two ubs and two scouts. The box promotes Free Phone Service with no monthly fees. My recollection is that I can get two numbers with each kit... one for hub and one for scout?

Help!

Since 2012, for new activations, no matter what kind of device, Ooma started requiring monthly taxes (Regulatory Recovery Fees).

To have more than 1 number per main device, you'd need Premier.

Premier includes the 2nd number but you can get up to 7 more numbers for $4.99/month each.

Keep in mind, each main device can only handle 2 concurrent phone calls at a time.

I'm using the same exact setup with a TA624 for the last couple years, and may be of some help. It's quirky, but it works mostly the way you'd hope.
