I am not an expert in this area so hopefully someone who is can chime in here.

The easiest way is for someone you know who got Ooma working in UAE to tell you how they did it.

Otherwise, it is a lot tougher to figure out what to do.

If blocked, your ISP needs to have these ports opened for you: https://www.ooma.com/app/support/advanc ... vice-ports

Your ISP may not be very cooperative. If not ISP help, the people you know might be using an iternet connection through a VPN tunnel. Example VPN service write up: http://asia.cnet.com/blogs/testing-five ... 115910.htm talking about how people go around firewalls in countries hit by serious Web filtering, such as China, Turkey, Iran and Saudi Arabia (four of 18 countries censoring internet).
