Virtual Second Line, Call Out with Identification?

Post by mac711 » Sat May 05, 2012 10:42 pm

When I ported my number, I got to keep my temporary number as Line 2, since I am on Premier right now.

Both numbers will ring me perfectly.

However, if I pick up a phone and click line 2 on the Telo box, it switches on the box to line 2, but if I call my mobile, it still shows up as being dialed from my primary number. Is there anyway around that? Would a Telo handset show I was dialing from the secondary number?

**0 dialing prefix for primary
**1 for secondary
You can set your default outgoing in my Ooma privacy section.
If u get a Telo handset, u can assign a number to that Handset and have a separate my Ooma login.
Go to Support section and search for Personal Devices.

There is no correlation between your two phone numbers and the two phone lines.
The first call placed whether it's outgoing or incoming will use line 1. Line 2 is only used when line 1 is already in use.
Even with a Personal handset if there is no call in progress a call will use line 1.
If you dial **1 to select the second phone number's caller ID it will go out over line 1.
