Thanks to everybody that tried to help. :D Finally called technical support. They suggested that I look for the lights on the back of the hub adjacent to the "modem" plug. Sure enough, neither the green or amber were lit in powered on mode.
They said to try another cable. Since this one was in the wall, I had to relocate, but it turns out it must be a bad network cable. It must have gotten pinched too hard somewhere. :D :D
