Home Distribution question

Post by dchou4u » Fri Mar 04, 2011 11:22 pm

Hi, today my home phone number was ported to Ooma from COX. I went out to the box outside my home and disconnected the outside line from my home phone wiring system.
I then connect my Ooma to the wall jack using the telephone outlet on the Ooma, but I always get a fast busy signal on all the phones in the house. Does anyone know why?
This problem does not occur if I connect a single phone to the Ooma telephone outlet.

Which jack on OOMA? - Wall Jack - or Phone - make sure its Phone. Just making sure

How did you disconnect street wiring? Did you have 1 phone line or 2?

Another thing to try - if you are modem - ooma try power all down, then pwer up modem until done then pwr up ooma - worked for me a few times
