SEO Manager

Job Title: SEO Manager

Summary:
Ooma is looking for a SEO Manager to improve our web site SEO and shape our future SEO strategy. The SEO manager is responsible for helping Ooma improve organic visibility wherever search results are presented (e.g. Google, Bing, YouTube, App Store). This role develops, implements, and manages SEO for all websites and content. The job includes a great deal of cross-team collaboration among marketing, web development, web design, content production, mobile, social media, and public relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing regular testing to ensure the highest search rankings
  • Run various SEO tool like BrightEdge, SEM-rush, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • SEO audits: keyword research, backlink profile analysis and technical SEO review
  • Developing a comprehensive keyword strategy for organic ranking
  • Increase leads and sales through organic source
  • Plan site structure, oversee link outreach, and proofread copywriter
  • Use keyword analysis to execute on a data-driven content strategy
  • A/B testing with both layout and copy to increase conversion
  • Assist with on-page optimization by coordination with copywriters, web design and development teams
  • Assist with off-page optimization tasks, such as coordination with the contest strategists
  • Complete regularly scheduled SEO optimization tasks on time
  • Study and learn every single day to stay ahead of SEO changes and evolution
  • SEO QA for web pages.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in SEO
  • Expertise in WordPress and use of CMS
  • Demonstrable skill with Google Webmaster tools, Google Tag manager and Google Analytics
  • Mastery in SEO fundamentals like page titles, meta tags, headers, URL structure, link anchor text
  • Experience with technical structure, design & aesthetics, content, navigation, architecture
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Understanding of the interplay between SEM and SEO
  • Working knowledge of technical site analysis, competitive analysis, and content strategy
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript for diagnosis, technical troubleshooting and some simple front end development
  • Work with cross-functional departments to develop and track all details of SEO initiatives
  • Collaborate with paid search to feed SEO findings into broader online and offline media strategy
  • Solid grasp of how search engines work
  • Experience on SEO platforms (e.g. BrightEdge, Conductor, Searchmetrics, Moz, Screaming Frog)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
