Butterfleye’s smart video camera with AI for facial and audio recognition will be integrated into the Ooma Home security solution, and will also continue to function as a powerful stand-alone security system sold under the Butterfleye brand.

Butterfleye is an intelligent, wire-free security camera with an ability to learn from what is going on around it. In 2015, the Butterfleye team was inspired by the idea of an intelligent camera savvy enough to detect people, pets, and various sounds, while being robust enough to continue working through internet and power outages. After developing an early prototype, the Butterfleye camera, featuring advanced battery technology, 16 gigabytes of internal storage and on-board image processing, successfully launched with a $1 million Indiegogo campaign in 2016.
