Just bought a Linx and a new AIO Brother MFC-J825DW printer/fax, after reading the manual, found that the fax feature is in conflict with the voicemail feature.
I am using one line, basic service, the only way to make it work right is to set it to re receive fax manually, otherwise it is either the fax or the voicemail will pick up the call depends on your number of ring set up on each unit. Another option would be a second line dedicated to the fax machine, this is a no go for me.
Just to let people know to avoid this brand if the intention is to have a fax feature. A fine printer at a reasonable price. Other printer may work differently.

I don't know why you would avoid Ooma if you want a fax line? If you sign up for the premiere package you automatically get a second line which you can use for your faxing plus all the other benefits of the premiere package.
I don't know where else you can get a fax line for $10.00
Carl.

This is true no matter what kind of fax machine isn't it?Akai wrote:the only way to make it work right is to set it to re receive fax manually
