Fax Machines That Work/Don't Work

Post by dkdj5 » Sat Oct 23, 2010 12:31 pm

These are fax machines that work or don't work for some people. Your experience could be different. By making a record, perhaps we could all be helped. Maybe we can start seeing a patern. Just copy this whole page to your reply and add your machine.

Helpful Tips:
Have your line set to fax mode by calling Ooma.
Dial *99- or *99, before any outgoing fax.

I successfully faxed twice tonight. I have a Canon MX860. OOMA Telo is behind my Linksys WRT54G router. I had speed set to 9600, ECM is on. I have QOS set to off on the router.

My internet service is Comcast cable, BLAST speed package.

I really don't know which way is better. I never tried to hook it up Modem-OOMA-Router. Mine is Modem-Router-OOMA, and I haven't had a reason to change it since I connected it up a few weeks ago.
