This morning my MIL received a call and answered it and someone hung up on her.
My caller ID reads 0000000000000-000-0000
This kinda freaks me out - anyone else have this issue??

I've had telemarketers use that as their Caller ID. Since I have phones that speak the Caller ID, it's a little odd to hear them saying "zero" over and over again.
Really, it's not difficult these days to send something fake as your Caller ID. Do a web search for "caller id spoofing" and you'll see what I mean.

The Truth In Caller ID bill was passed by the Senate back in February and just passed the House. It will go into law soon. The completely bogus caller ID you've seen is the exact reason this is becoming law.
