different model handsets

Post by pocono1 » Sat Mar 13, 2010 9:29 am

Can one use the Telo handset and a generic dect 6 handset or can one only use another Telo handset if one Telo is being used?

Only Telo handsets can connect to the Telo base via Dect 6.
You can however connect the base of another manufacturers DECT 6 phone system to the Telo base via the phone jack.

Thanks for the quick response.

By the wall jack, do you mean that I can insert a modular plug into the back of my Telo base unit?

Yes, there are two phone jacks on the Telo labeled Phone and Wall.
If you don't have an integrated land line, the Wall jack is of no use.
You can connect a regular phone to the Phone jack or you can connect the base of a cordless phone system to the Phone jack or do both with a splitter.
With proper preparation of your house wiring you can feed the Telo's Phone jack to a jack in the wall of your house and have dial tone throughout your house.
