Removing bad Ooma handset

Post by truebeliever71 » Sun Feb 28, 2010 10:15 am

I had problems with my first Ooma Telo handset and exchanged it for a new one. The new one works great but shows up as handset 2. Is there a way to remove the original one and the rename the new one to handset 1?

You need to do a factory reset on the base telo and all of hand sets, and then activate the one you want to be HS1 first, HS2 second, etc.
1. turn off all handsets
2. reset the telo and wait till if fully up & running
3. turn on the HS + resetting,
4. follow instruction to activate it.
