Is there a way to put an access password on the Telo.

Right now, when I go to http://172.27.35.1/I get in with no password.

Currently no, request to Ooma have been made for this. As long as you dont place the Ooma into your routers DMZ and your local area network is secure and only people you trust access your home network, you should be fine.
