Cancel only one of two landlines

Post by highq » Sat Feb 06, 2010 12:58 pm

I have two landlines from Verizon.

One number, the billing number, is at the moment integrated with my Telo. I will no doubt soon be porting that number to Ooma.

But when I do so, I do not wish to disturb my second landline number.

Am I advised to call Verizon weeks before porting and ask to make my second number the billing number?

Yes, you have to call Verizon, and complete your request before you PORT. Any pending changes on your landline account will prevent a successfull PORT.

I would see if you could even split the number accounts all together. With the exception of the occasional screw up, Verizon should understand your request and things should go well.
