Calling Second Line From First Line

Post by michael83705 » Thu Dec 10, 2009 10:05 pm

I have a Hub and Scout each with seperate assigned numbers- both with cordless recievers attached to phone side.

If two people are outside quite some distance apart and the phone on the hub calls the phone number assigned to the scout, we just get voicemail.

I was expecting them to act like two completely seperate lines and be able to call each other by ten digit number.

The two lines act like two different lines in all other ways, like caller ID.

Is this possible, to set it up so the phones can call each others ten digit phone numbers? What do I need to do to set it up?

If both numbers are in the same area code, try calling the 7 digit number followed by the # key.
It works for some people but not for all.
