Ooma email notification question

Post by Sosha » Sun Oct 18, 2009 3:38 pm

Just got Ooma; find the quality is far superior to the hit-and-miss MagicJack. But, MJ did have 1 feature I cannot find with Ooma: it would not just email you notification of a message, but also the entire voice message as a .WAV file.

I had assumed there's a way to do this with Ooma, but can't figure it out. Can anyone help?

(sorry if this has been asked before; I tried searching, with no luck).

Under my.ooma.com sign in and under PREFERENCES, VOICEMAIL there is an email address for you to enter and a check mark to include a sound file.

The file is an MP3 and only gets sent with the Premier service.

I have "send attachment" sent, but nothing is sent.

I'm a new user, and I thought the premier service was included in the first 60 days. Or, do I have to sign up for it somewhere else?

It's included, but you might want to check your Junk Mail folder. Your email program may be blocking the sender and/or attachment. Also try 2 email addresses if you have 2, just for a test.
