International DID forwarding

Post by allamoe18 » Fri Jul 17, 2009 8:38 pm

Does anyone know whether the OOMA system can work with virtual private numbers (or International DIDs)? I want to sign up to obtain a DID for a local China number and forward the calls to my OOMA system so people from China can call me as if I am local. And do anyone know what time of technology is behind the OOMA system (i.e. SIP, H.323, IAX, Asterisk)??

The service I'm looking at is from

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to forward to your ooma number.

The ooma hub uses a derivative of asterisk: ... t=asterisk
