I have been using Ooma for ~ 1 month and love it! Only thing is I have to bypass Ooma to share large files over Utorrent (not illegal files). I get this screen when I check the port used by Utorrent.

Any suggestions on how to get around Ooma other than removing it from my physical network?

Assuming the ooma hub is in front of your router, you can put the router's IP in ooma's DMZ at > Advanced. You should set the same IP as both the Start and End address in the DHCP Configuration on the same page.

If you are not using a separate router, but have your PC connected directly to the ooma hub, you can forward the ports you need at: > Advanced > Port Forwarding (near bottom of page)

Yes, the ooma hub has built in router and firewall capabilities.

For uTorrent, I forwarded port 26172 / TCP to the IP address ooma assigned to my wireless router under the advanced tab.

My setup is cable modem -> ooma hub -> wireless router.
