Apparently I've just called myself

Okay. Just hooked up Ooma today. I started the porting process, but I still have Comcast until my old number ports over. So after I picked a temporary phone number I went to Comcast and fixed the settings so my calls to my old number would forward to Ooma.
Everything seems to be working just fine EXCEPT for an odd occurrence. I'm looking right at the phone when I'm at the computer. A call came in and the caller i.d. led said the call was from "Out of Area" and it gave my old phone number as, well, the source phone number.
Anybody know what the heck might have caused that?

Figured out what was happening. I had my comcast phone # forwarded to my ooma line. When the number ports over I'll stop that, so I guess any phone call coming in to my old number would show as coming from that number.
