I am having too many problems with the actual Ooma made handset and want to unpair it from my Ooma Telo so I can get another Dect phone that isnt connected like the ooma handset. I plan on using the phone jack. How do I unregister or unpair the ooma handset from the ooma telo, if anyone can help me it would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
Frank

Better yet how do I disable the signal from the Ooma Telo searching for handsets. I tried the 0+Left Softkey+Answer button and it doesnt work on my OOma handset. My friend convinced to get this instead of a magic jack, so I brought it to Ireland forgetting that the Frequency signals are different. The Irish Commission for for Communication Regulations said I can use this device as long as it doesnt send an american frequency out. On the website it said we can take the Ooma Telo part to other countries. I am going to go buy an Irish Phone to hook throuhg the phone jack, but I need to disable the antena symbol/signal that looks for handsets, does anyone know how to do that?

To reset a Telo handset.
Push and hold the red button until it turns off.
Release the red key.
Press and hold the left soft key and the zero key.
Press and release the red key.
After the handset turns on release the left soft key and the zero key.
The handset should now be searching.
Press and hold the red button until it turns off.
Remove the battery.

or just remove the battery.

Firmware version 60118 is supposed to be released within the next few weeks.
The release notes are here.

Note the third item in the list.
You will be able to connect to the Telo's setup page by connecting to

http://setup.ooma.com

or

http://172.27.35.1

from a computer connected to the Home port.

and click the Disable DECT box to disable the DECT transmitter.

Thanks for the info, but I bought this Ooma in June. There is no disable DECT in the setup pages, only disable bluetooth. And this handset is an Ooma made handset as well purchased in June, the code sequence to upair it does not work on this handset. Anyone else have any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Frank

i just had to unregister all of my handsets due to a faulty handset that had to be replaced. the way that support had me do it was

1. turn off all of your handsets (hold down the red phone button)
2. connect a network cable from your computer to the Home Network port on the Telo device
3. Open this address in your browser:
http://setup.ooma.com/cgi-bin/mfgdiags/ ... ock_hs.lua

if successful, you should get a message something like:
This un registraters the handset from the basestation ooma_result:done

all of your handsets will be un-registered, so they will need to be re-registered if that is your goal.

It appears the address http://setup.ooma.com/cgi-bin/mfgdiags/ ... ock_hs.lua
Un-registers the Ooma Telo handset(s) information out of the Ooma Telo. But the Ooma Telo Handset also needs to be Un-registered, clearing the registration information out of the Ooma Telo handset(s), using Murphy's procedure above, to be completely successful.

(I did one test and it worked but may need further testing to make sure.)
